At Menzies Creek Primary School, we offer a comprehensive Prep Transition Program designed to help children and families feel connected, confident and ready for their first year of school.
Through a range of experiences across the year, children have the opportunity to become familiar with our school, meet staff and begin building relationships within our community.

First Steps to Prep Program
Our First Steps to Prep Program runs across Terms 2 and 3 and provides children and families with the opportunity to begin building connections with Menzies Creek Primary School before starting Foundation (Prep).
Through engaging learning experiences, children become familiar with our school environment, meet staff and begin forming relationships with future classmates. The program supports children to develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging, while giving families the opportunity to connect with our school community and learn more about the programs, routines and learning experiences that are part of life at Menzies Creek Primary School.

Term 4 Transition Program
Our Term 4 Prep Transition Program provides children with the opportunity to experience Foundation routines and expectations before starting school. Children attend these sessions independently, allowing them to build confidence, become familiar with their new learning environment and feel ready for the beginning of their Foundation year.
Through engaging classroom experiences, children explore our learning spaces, participate in activities and continue building familiarity with Menzies Creek Primary School ahead of their first year of school. These experiences support children to make a confident and positive start to their schooling journey.
