Justin Benne
Leading Teacher
I love that I have the opportunity to make a difference across the whole school. As a classroom teacher and in my role in inclusion and wellbeing, I get to spend time supporting students and building relationships across the school. It is positive relationships that form the cornerstone of the strong community connection at Menzies Creek. I believe learning should be fun and engaging, and that our students need to be supported to be curious about the world around them.

Lilly Markovic
Classroom Teacher
I love teaching at MCPS. The teachers and ES staff are passionate, innovative and embrace life wholeheartedly. As a teacher and member of the collaborative team at Menzies, I pride myself on being approachable, calm and kind. My classroom environment is inclusive, positive, dynamic, nurturing, creative, supportive and fun. I encourage students to do their best, be independent, resilient, kind to others and to develop a sense of agency. I believe it is important to encourage excellence, nurture children’s curiosity and creativity by developing their oral, reading and writing skills and building their knowledge of the world. I believe in celebrating effort, motivation, success, and in praising good choices and responsible global citizenship.

Being an educator is an incredibly privileged responsibility. I value the opportunity to develop positive and supportive relationships with our amazing students and their families. It is extremely rewarding to be part of a school where the staff know every student’s name; where we work together to ensure we enrich every student’s journey with engaging, student-centred, and contemporary learning.

Auslan Teacher
I came to Menzies Creek at the start of 2020 to teach Auslan. Who would have known what trials and tribulations were ahead of us with the events around COVID-19? Throughout that time I came to know the staff and students as a resilient, compassionate and enthusiastic community who accepted all that was thrown at them and made the most of it. 2022 has been my first face to face year and what a difference it has made. I have been able to engage with students and staff in more meaningful and productive ways to bring Auslan alive at Menzies Creek. Thank you all for your commitment and willingness to step outside of your comfort zone to learn and embrace the amazing language Auslan is.

Hollie Boniface
Chaplain
MCPS has a whole school approach to student wellbeing. It’s a joy to be a part of that as the Chaplain. Using a strengths based approach, I support students individually, in small groups or in the classroom, collaborating with the amazing teachers and support staff so that every child can succeed.

Darian Stray
Education Support
The community at the school is inclusive and warm. I really enjoy being apart of the Education Support team and assisting in helping our students succeed. Our 3 guidelines at MCPS are; Do your best, Help others succeed and Respect your environment. These are important to me and I always seem to revert back to them when in and out of the classroom! Our School is located in a beautiful setting looking down the gully at one side and overseeing Aura Vale Lake from the other side. We are really lucky to have our school in such a beautiful place here in the hills.
